Worth Remembering

The study of history is important for a number of reasons.  While some insist that the study of history can help us avoid repeating past mistakes, Mark Twain saw it otherwise. He once quipped, “History may not repeat itself, but it sure does rhyme.”  Although the sudy of history does not guarantee the avoidance of past mistakes, it can hep us preserve things that are worth remembering.

For the last several months I’ve been writing short articles for my church’s quarterly magazine that combine an introduction to church history with devotional applications.  The collumn is entitled Worth Remembering.  I’ll post those articles here.

If you teach a Sunday School class or lead a small group and would like to use these articles as part of your curriculum, please email me (didaskei@yahoo.com) and I will be happy to provide study questions.  If there is enough demand, I will post the questions in .pdf format.
